They are a port operator and deal with everything related to containers on ships. Eqeep has helped them to ensure that all assets can be operational at the right time. For this purpose, they recently switched to IFS 10. We&rsquo;ll tell you more about this process!<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ifs-10-versus-ifs-cloud-big-versus-small-changes\">IFS 10 versus IFS Cloud: grote versus kleine veranderingen<\/h3><p>Dagelijks komen enorme schepen binnen, vol met containers die naar de juiste plek moeten. Hutchison Ports Delta II zet enorme hijskranen, carriers en andere assets klaar om alles in goede banen te leiden. Om ervoor te zorgen dat alle assets operationeel kunnen zijn, maken ze gebruik van IFS. Echter, Hutchison Ports Delta II werkte nog met IFS 7.5 , terwijl deze software al lang niet meer ondersteund wordt door leveranciers. Het was dus hoog tijd om over te gaan naar een nieuwe versie. De keuze bestond uit IFS Cloud of IFS 10. In vergelijking met IFS 7.5 zou IFS Cloud een grote verandering zijn. IFS 10 lijkt nog best wel op IFS 7.5, waardoor er voor de eindgebruikers niet zo heel veel verandert. Hutchison hecht veel waarde aan de inrichting die ze al hadden, dus de keuze voor IFS 10 was snel gemaakt. Eqeep kreeg daarbij de uitdaging om IFS 10 zo min mogelijk aan te passen, zodat het lijkt op IFS 7.5.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"challenge-on-challenge\">Uitdaging op uitdaging<\/h3><p>During such an upgrade process, we always start with an assessment and map the current situation. Then we choose either an upgrade or a re-implementation where you clean up everything and start &rsquo;empty&rsquo;, also in terms of data. In this case, the question was: How do we get the environment from IFS 7.5 &lsquo;as is&rsquo; over to IFS 10? Hutchison asked for something we hadn&rsquo;t done before: a re-implementation, but the data had to be moved with it. This was a big challenge, but it didn&rsquo;t scare us away. And we succeeded! Hutchinson is now using IFS 10 with the historical data from IFS 7.5.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"new-features-or-not\">Wel of geen nieuwe functionaliteiten?<\/h3><p>Normally during an upgrade process, we also add new features. Especially during a re-implementation, this is our preference. In this case, we skipped implementing new functionality because Hutchinson wanted as little change as possible for the end users. But should they change their minds in the future, we can always add new functionalities. After the upgrade (and new functionalities), we always perform a data analysis and migration. Then we start testing and give (user) training to employees so they know how to work with the new system. After these steps, it&rsquo;s time for &ldquo;Go Live&rdquo;: the system is ready to use!<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"customized-and-personal-that-is-the-power-of-eqeep\">Maatwerk en persoonlijk: dat is de kracht van Eqeep<\/h3><p>Omdat Eqeep zowel de technische als functionele know how in huis heeft, zijn we in staat om het systeem zo te bouwen dat het past bij de wensen en behoeften van de klant.
