At the beginning of January, we boarded a plane to Dallas, Texas, for the annual IFS Partner Summit (SAKO). As an IFS Gold Partner, this is the moment for us to hear firsthand where IFS is heading. And more importantly: what that direction means for organizations in the Dutch market that rely on IFS Cloud.
We returned with a suitcase full of insights. Not vague long-term visions, but concrete plans and figures that form the foundation for the continued development of the platform. In this blog, we share the three most important observations we brought back from Dallas.
Agentic AI with IFS: Empower humans, not replace humans
Artificial intelligence in IFS Cloud is not an abstract concept. It’s changing how you work with the system every day. Soon, users will be able to ask questions about their own data and get answers immediately. For example: which assets cause the most issues? At which locations do failures occur most often? A field technician will be able to scan a problem on site and receive suggested causes and solutions instantly, right there on the spot, based on your own history and configuration.
A new solution within IFS Cloud is the digital workforce, also known as IFS Loops. These are independent, autonomous digital workers designed to automate repetitive, manual tasks such as processing purchase orders or checking invoices. The goal is to free up people in the organization for work that creates more value.
In addition, Embedded AI has been available in IFS Cloud since the latest version. Think smart recommendations, predictive maintenance, or optimizing schedules. The advantage is that there’s no need to purchase an additional license or start a complex project. Are you already on the latest IFS release? Then you have access right away. You only pay for what you actually use.
Van Oord as a success story, together with Eqeep
During SAKO, Van Oord was presented as a success story as part of the partner success program. We’re proud of that. IFS provides the platform; we bring the domain knowledge and expertise to make it successful. It’s a great example of how success works in practice.
Today, AI is no longer an expensive, standalone project. More and more, it’s becoming an integrated part of the existing IFS environment. We’d be happy to talk this through with you.
