IFS Intelligence: Industrial AI for operations
Industrial AI from IFS that answers questions from live operational data and prepares actions you approve.

What changes when AI works on operational data?
Most AI tools read documents. IFS Intelligence reads the operational data in IFS and connected third-party systems: assets, schedules, work orders and order status. IFS describes it as one layer across orders, production, logistics and maintenance.
Production managers can ask which large orders are at risk next quarter. In IFS’s launch example, IFS Intelligence identified the risk, showed the likely causes and recommended a next step. The manager approved the step.
Planners and maintenance managers can save a useful question as a Lens: a live view that stays connected to the data. A Skill repeats the same work on demand or on a schedule, such as a daily list of jobs at risk.
The answers are only as reliable as your master data and permissions. Eqeep checks data quality, roles and approval steps before your team relies on the results. See also Industrial AI in IFS Cloud.
Three ways to work with IFS Intelligence
IFS groups the capabilities into three ways of working. All three run within the identities, permissions and approvals your organisation sets.
Cowork
Ask, investigate and prepare actions that run after you approve them
Loops
Digital workers run defined workflows and escalate when a decision is needed
Runway
Turn plain-language requirements into specs for migration and configuration
Lenses and Skills
Save an answer as a live view, or repeat the work on a schedule
Industrial AI Harness
Identity, permissions, approvals and an audit trail for every action
Microsoft 365 through MCP
Cowork connects to systems such as Microsoft 365 through the Model Context Protocol
From question to approved action
IFS Intelligence follows the same order each time: ask, understand, act and, where you choose, delegate. People decide where risk or cost is involved.
Ask
Ask a question
Staff in the office, plant or field ask in plain language. The answer uses live data and shows its sources.
Understand
See causes and dependencies
IFS Intelligence links the order, production, maintenance and delivery data behind the answer. It explains what is happening and what depends on it.
Act
Prepare the action
It prepares the change, such as a rescheduled job or an expedite request. Nothing is committed without approval.
People decide: the responsible planner or manager approves or rejects the action.
Delegate
Hand routine work to a digital worker
Loops run defined workflows in the background, such as chasing supplier confirmations. They escalate when judgement or approval is needed.
People decide: your team sets the limits and the escalation points.
Where IFS Intelligence applies in your operation

Invest
Capital planning, projects and engineer-to-order work. IFS routes change orders for approval before anything changes.
Produce
Production planning, shop floor and goods movement. Digital workers chase supplier confirmations and escalate only when a decision is needed.
Maintain
Asset management, field service and scheduling. A daily Skill can flag jobs at risk and draft the escalations.
Operate
Procurement, finance and HR. The chat prepares record changes, and nothing is committed without approval.
Questions about IFS Intelligence
What is IFS Intelligence?
IFS Intelligence is Industrial AI from IFS for asset- and service-intensive industries. IFS launched it on 13 October 2026. It works on operational data from IFS and connected third-party systems, within the rules your business sets.
How does IFS Intelligence relate to Industrial AI in IFS Cloud?
Industrial AI is IFS’s term for AI built into its software. IFS Intelligence is the product IFS launched in October 2026 to bring this together in Cowork, Loops and Runway. The Industrial AI Harness governs all three. See Industrial AI in IFS Cloud.
Does IFS Intelligence act on its own?
Only within limits you set. Cowork prepares actions that run after a person approves them. Loops run defined workflows and escalate when judgement or approval is needed.
How does IFS keep data and decisions under control?
Through the Industrial AI Harness. According to IFS, the AI works through your existing identities, inherits permissions from connected systems and uses your approval processes. Every decision and action is logged, and IFS states that no raw data is sent to external AI providers.
How is IFS Intelligence licensed?
IFS describes an enterprise-wide licence for all in-scope licensed IFS software, without feature tiers. It includes an entitlement of AI executions as a fair-usage cap. Eqeep checks with you and IFS what your current agreement covers.
Where should we start?
With one recurring decision and data your team trusts. Eqeep reviews data quality, permissions and approval steps, then sets up a first Lens or Skill with your key users. You decide what moves into daily use.
Can Runway help with an upgrade from IFS Applications 10?
IFS positions Runway to speed up migration, configuration and extension from plain-language requirements. Eqeep uses its output as input for the design, and your team approves every change. According to IFS, Extended Support for IFS Applications 10 ends on 27 March 2028. Plan your upgrade.
