IFS Cloud that keeps improving after go-live

Eqeep works through five phases with your team: analysis and design, implementation, optimisation, support and training. After go-live, the cycle starts again with every release.

Machinery and industrial equipment

Where the pressure shows up first

Eqeep is an IFS Specialized Partner in the Benelux. Our IFS consultants work with management, IT, operations and process owners. We define the next step around the decisions each team needs to make.

Management and finance need to judge which IFS changes justify investment. A process blueprint and roadmap give them a basis for that decision. Through analysis and design, Eqeep sets out the options before implementation begins.

Programme leads need a design, milestones and clear decisions when scope changes. Eqeep configures, builds and tests IFS Cloud with the experts in your organisation.

CIOs and IT leads need to review custom code carried over from older IFS versions. In development and optimisation we assess what standard configuration can replace. According to IFS, Extended Support for IFS Applications 10 ends on 27 March 2028; see technical upgrades.

Operations managers need to plan updates around daily work. Eqeep monitors the environment, assesses update impacts and advises which features to consider.

Process owners need to retain knowledge when people change roles or leave. Eqeep provides training and education for each role in your IFS configuration.

Five phases, each with its own deliverable

Start at the phase that fits your situation. Each phase has a deliverable and a decision for your team. Each card links to an article that describes the phase in detail.

Customer stories

Optometrist examining a patient with ophthalmic equipment

Optronica: IFS Field Service Management live in about four months

Optronica, a service organisation for ophthalmic equipment, needed one system for contracts, planning, preventive maintenance and technicians’ mobile work. Eqeep implemented IFS Field Service Management (FSM) in about four months, including migration and integration with AFAS enterprise resource planning (ERP). The historical project met all requirements within the standard solution, without customisation.

Choose the support your IFS environment needs

Eqeep provides IFS support after go-live: application management (AMS), technical upgrades, monitoring and a service desk. You work with a named contact and agreed response times. We also support environments implemented by another partner.

Application management

Keep configuration aligned with how your business works

Technical upgrades

Plan release updates, testing and customer approval

Monitoring

Track issues and agree when to escalate

Service desk

Your key users need answers from an IFS specialist

Performance optimisation

Review query times, batch jobs and peak load

How SPIE organised its IFS managed services

Group at a table with SPIE branding

SPIE Nederland: Eqeep Managed Services for the IFS Product Suite

SPIE Nederland brought infrastructure, technical and functional management into one IFS managed services model. Eqeep became the central IFS contact for the service desk and Application Management Service. Arvato Systems supplied Microsoft Azure infrastructure and technical application management. SPIE retained control over its operational direction.

One chain from analysis to training

Each phase builds on the decisions and work before it. Eqeep agrees the starting point, deliverable and handover with your team.

  1. Analysis

    Analysis and design

Eqeep turns your process analysis into a Business Value Overview and roadmap before implementation starts.

People decide: your team decides which changes justify the investment.

  2. Implementation

    Implementation and realisation

We configure, build and test IFS Cloud against the approved design with your experts. Key users test the system before go-live.

  3. Optimisation

    Development and optimisation

Eqeep reviews custom code and replaces it with standard configuration where it fits. We also assess IFS Cloud release updates.

  4. Support

    Maintenance and support

Eqeep provides monitoring, planned updates and application management through a named team after go-live.

  5. Training

    Training and education

Your people practise their own tasks in your IFS configuration. Role-specific training and documentation support day-to-day use.

Value realisation after go-live: where value leaks first

In the months after go-live, attention moves to the next project and workarounds creep back in. The CFO or business case owner sees the original business case quietly stop being a reference. A value check puts that business case next to how IFS Cloud is used today and turns the gap into a prioritised backlog. Eqeep runs these value checks as IFS Specialized Partner in the Benelux.

For the process owner in operations, a planner who books hours differently or a warehouse that skips a step triggers no alarm, but it distorts every report. Process Intelligence reconstructs from the IFS data how processes actually run and puts that next to the designed flow. Service and team managers see the same drift when new colleagues are trained by colleagues instead of by design.

The CIO and IT lead feel it at every release update: energy goes into regression testing and new functionality is never absorbed. Each update can instead be a moment to choose which new IFS capabilities fit your roadmap. The functional administrator, stuck in incidents, gains room through quarterly reviews of process performance, response times and adoption. For organisations still on IFS Applications 10, Extended Support ends on 27 March 2028; read how we plan technical upgrades.

One chain from go-live to business case

Go-live is not the finish line. The business case is earned when adoption, data quality and the update rhythm keep getting attention.

  1. Measure

    Value check and Process Intelligence

The original business case next to how IFS Cloud is used today, and the actual process flow next to the designed one.

  2. Decide

    A prioritised backlog

The gap becomes a prioritised backlog. Each release update is a moment to choose which new capabilities fit your roadmap.

People decide: teams choose which changes create value and which can wait.

  3. Improve

    Development, training and performance

New functionality adopted in a steady cycle, training per role, and quarterly reviews of process performance and adoption.

  4. Measure again

    Business case back in view

Adoption, data quality and usage measured again around the release rhythm and after major process changes.

Questions about our approach

What does an IFS implementation partner do?

Eqeep guides your team from analysis and design through IFS implementation, optimisation, support and training. During implementation, we configure, build and test IFS Cloud with your own experts. An IFS training plan sets out what each role needs to learn; see what to look for in an IFS Partner.

How long does an IFS Cloud implementation take?

IFS Cloud implementation time depends on scope, sites, custom code and data quality. Optronica’s published example concerns an earlier IFS Field Service Management project: about four months, including migration and AFAS integration. Analysis and design establishes the plan for your own project. Read the Optronica story.

Where should an IFS project start, and do we need a full analysis first?

Start with the result your organisation needs to improve and the person responsible for it. Analysis and design defines the process, scope and next decision with your team. A full analysis is not always necessary; Eqeep scales the work from one process to a complete blueprint.

What happens after go-live?

Eqeep plans the handover to Our approach for upgrades, application management and a named team. The SPIE Nederland story describes Eqeep’s role as the central IFS contact for the service desk and Application Management Service. Arvato Systems handles Microsoft Azure infrastructure and technical application management; read the SPIE story.

What is IFS application management (AMS)?

Application management (AMS) covers the functional and technical work needed to run your IFS environment. It includes user questions, configuration, workflows and coordination with releases and integrations. Agree the scope, responsibilities and monthly cost before work starts. See application management.

Can we switch our IFS support to Eqeep?

Yes, including environments implemented by another partner. We assess your environment and agree the handover before taking over support. Changing support partner alone need not require reimplementation; the assessment identifies any changes needed. Read the SPIE story.

How often should value be checked after go-live?

Check value at least around the release rhythm and after major process changes. Adoption, data quality and usage patterns shift faster than most business cases assume.

What if adoption is lower than expected?

Start with the work people avoid or duplicate outside IFS. That usually shows whether the issue is process design, data, training or missing ownership. Training and education covers the knowledge side.
