Why the Young Talent Program?

More and more organizations are choosing IFS, a platform that offers first-class solutions for Service Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Asset Management. Unfortunately, there are far too few IFS consultants on the Dutch job market. Erry, the director of Eqeep, and I thought it was time to do something about this. Of course, you can recruit and re-train people from other fields, but that is an intensive process and the chances of long-term success are small. Another option is to attract and train young talent. This also suits us much better. Eqeep now exists for over ten years, which is quite old in business terms, but if you look at our culture, we are a young organization. Our consultants are eager to work with young, enthusiastic colleagues. One disadvantage: if you’ve just completed your education, you obviously don’t have practical experience yet. That’s exactly why we developed the Young Talent Program, so that young talent has a kickstart to confidently enter the world of ERP consulting.

What does the Young Talent Program look like?

Our ERP consulting traineeship is seven months of training. In classes of up to five people, we train you to become a junior consultant. During the program you are intensively engaged in training for both soft skills and hard skills. So you learn everything about IFS as a solution, but we also pay a lot of attention to the other side of consultancy work. For example, good communication, positioning yourself in the right way, and being able to communicate your expertise. In addition, you gain a lot of practical experience along the way. You will certainly not just sit behind your laptop, staring at boring PowerPoints. You will regularly accompany our senior consultants to customers to get a taste of consulting work. In the beginning it will be more towards taking notes or other preparation work, but the more experience you gain, the more tasks you can take over and slowly scale up. After seven months, you will be ready to start working independently as a junior consultant.

Only through practical experience you really learn

That practical experience is much needed if you want to become a successful consultant. After all, ERP consulting is a lot more complex than selling a bicycle. You can use the skills you acquire during the traineeship for the rest of your life. We also hope that this traineeship will encourage young professionals to become enthusiastic about ERP consultancy. It would of course be great if they are also enthusiastic about our organization. Most of all, we hope that after seven months all trainees are satisfied with what they have achieved and are eager to make a running start as junior consultants.

When does the program start?
