IFS Support after go-live, from helpdesk to release updates

After go-live, the real work is keeping IFS available and ready for the next release. Application management, upgrades, monitoring and helpdesk run with agreed response times and a named contact.

Solving problems your users never notice

IFS Cloud is evergreen: two release updates a year plus monthly service updates. Falling too far behind puts support at risk. We plan each cycle around your calendar, test in a shadow environment and install with a fallback ready, as part of our technical upgrades. Meanwhile key users spend time on IFS questions they were not hired to answer. IFS-certified consultants take those calls, with agreed response times and a named contact, in your language.

Planning and operations teams start to accept slow reports and planning runs that eat the night as normal. For the application owner the risk is quieter: an integration stops syncing or a batch job fails overnight, and users notice too late. We measure query times, batch jobs and peak load, align the configuration with how you work now, and keep application, database, integrations and infrastructure under monitoring, with escalation as soon as something drifts.

For finance and IT management the pressure is different. IFS keeps running, but configuration and workflows drift away from how the business actually operates. Application management puts functional and technical management in the hands of a team that knows your environment, at a predictable monthly cost, so your organisation keeps using IFS the way it intended. As IFS Specialized Partner in the Benelux, Eqeep also supports environments that another partner implemented. For organisations still on IFS Applications 10, Extended Support ends on 27 March 2028; read how we plan technical upgrades.

Group at a table with SPIE branding

SPIE Nederland: Eqeep Managed Services for the IFS Product Suite

SPIE Nederland needed one managed service setup for the infrastructure, technical and functional management of IFS. Eqeep became the central IFS point of contact and took responsibility for the service desk and the Application Management Service. Arvato Systems brings the Microsoft Azure-based cloud infrastructure and the technical application management. SPIE keeps control over its operational direction, with one managed service model for the whole IFS Product Suite.

One chain from ticket to release

After go-live, a user question, a failing batch job and the next release update land with the same team that knows your environment.

  1. Ticket

    Service desk

IFS-certified consultants answer with agreed response times and a named contact, in your language.

  2. Root cause

    Monitoring and application management

Application, database, integrations and batch jobs are monitored. When an issue returns, we look at configuration, data, training or process design.

  3. Release

    Technical upgrades

Each update is planned around your calendar, tested in a shadow environment and installed with a fallback ready.

People decide: nothing reaches production without your sign-off.

Questions before the next IFS release

How often should IFS Cloud readiness be checked?

At least before every release update, and earlier when customisations, integrations or test capacity are under pressure. With Release-ready, together, you see whether the environment can stay current without surprises.

What happens when an environment falls behind?

The gap becomes harder to test, support and explain to the business. Falling too far behind can also create support risk, so the route back needs planning.

What should stay in the customer’s control?

Nothing reaches production without sign-off. Eqeep can assess, prepare and support the update, but the business keeps control over timing, acceptance and go-live.

What does an upgrade actually cost us in effort?

It depends on your customisations: custom logic typically costs days of uplift per release update, configurations cost hours. Technical upgrades covers how we plan that rhythm.

We were implemented by another partner. Does that matter?

No. With Release-ready, together, we can assess any IFS environment, regardless of who built it, and switching support does not require reimplementation.

What should an IFS service desk solve first?

Start with recurring incidents, unclear ownership and slow triage. Those show where users lose time and where the operating model needs clearer rules. See how our service desk works.
